About
I’m Rémy Gainet, a Reiki practitioner in Geneva and La Muraz. I support people who want to reach a state of deep relaxation, better manage their stress, and restore balance in everyday life.
My journey
After completing a scientific university degree and spending several years in the perfumery and cosmetics industry, I discovered Reiki almost by chance, in 2019, during a family meal. My first reaction was that of a rather rational mind: curious, but sceptical of a practice often presented in a very esoteric way.
It was by experiencing a session myself that something shifted. I felt an unusually deep relaxation, which allowed me to release tensions I had been carrying for years and reconnect with a sense of creativity I thought I had lost. This concrete experience, more than any explanation, made me want to go further.
I then completed an intensive six-month training programme with the Reiki Institute, certified ISO 9001 and recognised by the ICPF, before fully dedicating myself to accompanying people in Geneva and La Muraz.
My view of Reiki
For me, Reiki is above all a Japanese technique for deep relaxation. I rely as much as possible on what is currently understood about stress, emotions and the nervous system, rather than on energetic or spiritual explanations.
When we’re under stress or experiencing intense emotions, our nervous system can stay stuck in a state of alert. This makes it harder to think clearly, recover, or simply feel well. Deep relaxation allows the parasympathetic nervous system to gradually take over again: the body releases tension, the mind settles, and thoughts become clearer.
I see Reiki as a supportive tool, not a magic solution. My role isn’t to solve people’s difficulties for them, but to offer a safe space in which they can slow down, better understand how they function, and reconnect with their own inner resources.
How I work with you
I want to offer a space where you can come exactly as you are, with no need to justify what you’re feeling. My approach is based on listening, kindness, non-judgement and gentleness. I’m not trying to convince you that Reiki works: I simply invite you to experience it for yourself, notice how you feel, and discover, at your own pace, what this time of pause can bring you.
To me, Reiki isn’t a practice that brings something in from the outside. It’s a practice that creates the conditions for each person to reconnect with their own inner resources.
